Minecraft updates: The latest Java and Bedrock patch notes
Want to find out what's coming in the latest Minecraft update? These content drops add all sorts of mobs and materials to the game, but they also implement those all-important bug fixes and quality-of-life changes. Minecraft patch notes are a great resource for finding out exactly what these changes are and what new features are coming in each new update.
There are two versions of Minecraft that often receive updates at different times. Minecraft Java Edition is the original standalone PC version and is usually the first to get updated. Bedrock is the newer version made for Windows 10, consoles, and mobile devices, and the most crucial difference is that this version isn't open to modding, but does support crossplay.
If this is your first visit, you've stumbled across our running catalogue of what's new in both versions of Minecraft. You can read about Minecraft Java updates on this page including version 1.18
Minecraft's next major update is the second half of their major Caves & Cliffs update. This time, bug changes will be coming to (you guessed it) the game's caves and cliffs. It was originally planned as part of update 1.17, but Mojang decided to split the update into two parts. The first part released on June 8 while the second part of the update arrives later this year.
Part two of the update is when caves will get their own new biomes like the lovely Lush Caves and the much spookier Deep Dark biome where the new Warden mob lives.

Apex Legends patch notes: what’s new in patch 9.1
Here are the latest Apex Legends patch notes, updates and changes.
Apex Legends is a live service game, which naturally means it’s always getting updated. Whether it’s a new season, a new character, a new map, or just some subtle changes to weapon damage and fixing bugs, the developers at Respawn usually keep us in the loop with what’s changed.
If you’re new to the battle royale game – or just want to check what’s changed after an update – then you’re in the right place. We’ve rounded up all the latest Apex Legends patch notes so you can check out what’s changed and what’s new in the competitive FPS game.
Apex Legends usually pushes out a big update at the start of a new season – that’s when they’ll reveal all the abilities of a new character or add an entirely new map – but each season is punctuated by more, smaller updates that we’ll also keep you up to speed with. Changes big or small will keep things feeling fresh, and future patch notes might give us a glimpse into Apex Legends Arena mode as the game moves into formats different from battle royale.
The latest Apex Legends update introduces the Genesis collection event and addresses some balance changes.

APEX LEGENDS UPDATE 1.72
Respawn announced in a tweet that the latest Apex Legends update is aimed at tackling DDOS (denial of service) attacks in Apex Legends’ ranked mode.
“When we detect an attack, all players will be booted from the game and granted loss forgiveness,” the tweet reads. “The idea is to deny advantages to attackers and protect victims of those attacks from RP losses.”
DDOS attacks were becoming commonplace in the higher tiers of Apex’s ranked mode, where hackers would DDOS the entire lobby in order to farm kills and RP from inactive players. This should not be able to happen any more.
“In some cases, this change will cause the results from matches to be entirely voided: No stats tracked, RP gained or loss, etc.,” Respawn says.
It is not a perfect solution, but should help alleviate the problems a little bit. Respawn also says that “more updates to deal with these sorts of attacks are on the way.”
